Biography
I have been teaching comic book and art classes for the past 10 years.  I have also been published working for many companies such as Marvel Comics, Toy Biz, Golden Books, Gordy Toys, Blackout Comics, etc., as well as illustrating many promotional pieces and covers for various companies and self publishing my own comic book. I also have done many projects such as Toy Designs for "The Tick", "Pony Trails", WWF (WWE).

I've even designed many watches; Wind In The Willows, Hercules, Zena, and more. I am currently working on comic strip ads (FUTUREMAN) appearing in the Asbury Park Press and Home News Tribune every week for FUTURECHEVY car dealership. As well as my own "how to draw" books. Hope to see you in my class!

My approach to teaching is simple.  We do not do specific projects per class or per session but my students learn how to think, how to see and how to understand the world of art.   In every class I will be teaching a better understanding of human anatomy, three dimensional  art, story boarding as well as how to create their own work and apply the lessons learned to it.  Using many Fine Art techniques.  I am not a subscriber to what I call “the draw what I draw” method/classes.  Although these are fine for students who prefer to just do projects, I do not do that.

Each class consists of learning a specific lesson I have prepared which will be explained to them for the first twenty minutes to the first half of an hour of each class.  I will explain it all in detail and then give the students an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.  The students then spend class time applying their new found knowledge with the medium I have chosen for the day.

I will go from student to student  checking their work and helping them out. For the remainder of the class, which is usually a half of an hour, they have the opportunity to draw whatever they would like, as long as they apply what they have learned.  But most of all I do my best to make the classes FUN! This is what I have found is the best way to teach.  Come try out my class and you will see what I mean.
