It is truly amazing to see what young artists can create with the right guidance and motivation to succeed! Students are always proud and ready to show off their masterpieces at our upcoming art show in a couple of months!
Last week, in Painting & Drawing class students learned a new technique of drawing with sharpie and pen to create these cool cheetahs! It was a difficult pose to capture, but with a lot of focus, we made some awesome artwork! As a young artist, its so important to learn new tools and techniques that can be used throughout life to create masterpieces!
In Children's Painting last session, students painted these ambitious landscape scenes! They spent the eight classes planning, preparing and then painting their artwork. At the end of the session, the paintings were framed and ready to hang in any home!
We wanted to share a few of our upcoming events!
Each month, we host a variety of one-day events for kids, teens and adults. Next month begins with a week of SPRING BREAK ART CAMP on April 2nd, and ends with Canvas & Cocktails on April 28th! Check out the slideshow below to see everything in between!
In every class, our instructors will guide students step-by-step into creating their own masterpieces! Follow along with how we made this cute little sloth last weekend! Kid's Art is for ages 5-8... the little ones have a such a fun time making their own artwork!
We started by drawing an outline...Once that was done, the leaves and tree were colored with green crayon.
We move from background to foreground...starting with the far away legs painted brown with acrylic. For the rest of the sloth, we used brown and white to add texture and a lighter color too! Notice how the strokes all follow the direction of the fur!
(Finally...we add black paint with a tiny (really tiny) brush to give those few final details!
We are creating some amazing superheroes every Wednesday at 4:45!
During each 8-week session, students in this class will learn valuable skills, such as, drawing human anatomy and musculature, that will help them to create superheroes and cartoons of their own. Children will complete multiple completed drawings using colored pencils, markers and graphite. See this and the rest of our Freehold art classes here!
Every week the instructor Heather will encourage students to do their best work, and guide them every step of the way! The classroom environment is full of like-minded students that are sure to become quick friends! FUN & EDUCATIONAL!
Every month, we also host cartooning/anime workshops, which you can check for on our children's calendar of events page! These are a perfect way to get introduced to our classes, and see where you belong!
Check back next week for an update on another one of our unique art classes!
